Vanpanchak Dosha (Ban Panchak Dosha)

After Jamitra Dosha, the next inauspicious Dosha for the Muhurutha of marriage is Van Panchak Dosha. Vanpanchak is of five types: Rogvan, Agnivan, Rajvan, Chorvan and Mrityuvan. If Mrityuvan appears, then marriage should be cancelled. Let us consider how Mrityuvan forms. When Sun is placed on the 1, 10, 19 or 28 degrees in any sign, then Mrityuvan Dosha is formed. When Sun changes sign, then degrees should be assessed immediately to find out Vanpanchak. The degrees which come are placed in five places and added into 6, 3, 1, 8 and 4. Result is divided by 9 and if the resulting number is 5 then VanDosha will appear otherwise not, because Van Dosha forms only on number 5.
