We perform numerous spiritual activities in our life but if we select auspicious Muhurat, we will get auspicious results. While performing Yajna, fire sacrifice or to conclude fasting, one should select an auspicious Muhurta to get favorable results. An auspicious Muhurat also helps to reduce the flaws of worshiping. It also helps in minimizing the obstacles of any task. Here we will discuss about the auspicious Muhurtas for performing spiritual activities:
Muhurat for Spiritual Activities
The Muhurat of Anuradha, Ashwini, Pushya, Hast, Shravana, Ghanishtha, Shatbhisha, Punarvasu, Swati, Uttarshada, Uttarbhadrapada, Uttarvisha or Rohini nakashtra is considered auspicious for beginning spiritual activities. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are auspicious if the ascendant of Venus or Jupiter is located in Shad Varga or in the Jupiter Ascendant. If Jupiter is strong in the birth chart then it increases the auspiciousness of starting a spiritual activity. Apart from this, selecting auspicious dates is also fruitful.
Auspicious Nakshatras for an Auspicious Event
Ashwini, Pushya, Hast, Uttarshida, Uttarbhadrapada, Uttarvisha, Rohini, Revati, Shravana, Ghanishtha, Shatbhisha, Punarvasu, Swati, Anuradha and Magha Nakshatra are fruitful for carrying out an auspicious event. Rikhta Tithis should not be chosen for any auspicious work. Apart from this, the eighth Tithi is also not considered auspicious. Full Moon and New Moon are not selected for the auspiciousness of Tithi of an event.
Auspicious Days for Starting a New Task
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are auspicious days for starting a new task. The Ascendant time should be such that Sun is located in the tenth house from Ascendant, Moon in the Fourth house and Jupiter in the Ascendant. Due to these locations, the planets become strong that help in increasing the auspiciousness of the event. You can also choose the Surya Sankranti to increase the auspiciousness of your work.
Worshiping Lord Ganesha before Starting an Auspicious Work
If you worship or offer prayers to the lord Ganesha before starting a new work, it will be auspicious for you. You will not face any problem and will achieve success in your work. Do not perform any auspicious task during the period of malefic Jupiter or Venus. But if there is no auspicious Muhurat then you can do your work during the malefic position of these two planets in special conditions.
Muhurta for Yajna and Havana
You can predict the results through the location of the planet of third Nakshatra from the Nakshtra in which Sun is located. For example, if the third nakshatra from Sun is the nakshatra of sun, you may not get auspicious results from Yajna or Havana. If it is Mercury or Venus then you will get auspicious results. If it is Saturn, you may get inauspicious results. The nakshatras of Moon and Jupiter are also considered auspicious and rest of the nakshatras are considered inauspicious.
Analysis on the Position of Fire during an Event
The position of fire is not considered while performing some tasks. It is considered during an eclipse, marriage, Gandant, Durga festival, concluding fast and activities of daily life. But during Chuda ceremony, Havana for journey, birth of a child and during the transit of planets, it is not considered.
Agyadhaan Agni Grahan
Obtaining fire to perform Havana according to the position and rules of planets is known as Agyadhaan Agni Grahan.
Muhurat for Agyadhaan
Agyadhaan should be performed in Utrayaan in the presence of any of the following Nakshatras: Kritika, Vishakha, Uttarshida, Uttarbhadrapada, Uttarvisha, Mrigshira, Jyeshtha or Pushya. Rikhta Tithis are not considered auspicious for this task. If Moon, Mars, Jupiter or Venus transits through the debilitated sign, you should not perform this task. If Jupiter, Moon or Mars are located in the Ascendant during Agyadhaan, you may not get auspicious results. However, if there is no planet in the Ascendant, you can perform this task.

The following ten yogas should be considered to get auspicious results from Yajna:

- 2. Mars of Aries in Ascendant
- 3. Mars in seventh house from Ascendant
- 4. Mars in seventh house from Ascendant
- 5. Mars in third house from Ascendant
- 6. Mars in the sixth house from Ascendant
- 7. Mars in the eleventh house
- 8. Sun in third house from Ascendant
- 9. Sun in sixth house from Ascendant
- 10. Sun in eleventh house from Ascendant
If you consider these yogas while performing Yajna then you will get auspicious results.
