Auspicious-Combinations“Muhurtha” is a division of time. In Vedic astrology a suitable Muhurtha can be selected to perform important actions. Various special Yogas have been mentioned in Vedic Astrology for auspicious Muhurthas.

Do you know how these beneficial combinations are created and what results they give? Let’s learn more about how Muhurthas are cast.

Auspicious Yogas
The auspiciousness of a Muhurtha is determined through Panchang on the basis of Tithi, Day, Nakshatra, Yogas and Karan. The Auspicious Muhurtha is the one in which important and auspicious actions can be performed successfully. Apart from the factors in the Panchang, there are also several Yogas which play a role in determining the auspiciousness of the Muhurtha. Some of these Yogas are: “Siddhi Yoga”, “Svarth Siddhi Yoga”, “Guru Pushya Yoga”, “Ravi Pushya Yoga”, “Pushkar Yoga”, “Amrit Siddhi Yoga”, Raj Yoga”, “Dwipushkar Yoga” and “Tripushkar Yoga”.

Siddhi Yoga
Siddhi Yoga is formed when there is a harmony between Day, Tithi and Nakshatra. For example, if on Monday, Tithi is ninth or tenth and the Nakshatra is  Rohini, Mragshira, Pushya, Shravan or Shatbhisha, then Siddhi Yoga is created.

Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga
Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga is a very auspicious yoga. This yoga is formed with the combination of day and Nakshatra. If this Yoga is formed on a Thursday or Friday then this Yoga is very strong, but if it forms on any other day, then it can be canceled. Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga is auspicious if it is formed on Monday with Rohini, Mragshira, Pushya, Anuradha or Shravan Nakshatra. However, if this yoga is formed on Dwitiya tithi or Ekadashi tithi, then this auspicious yoga is transformed into a malefic yoga.

Amrit Siddhi Yoga
Amrit Siddhi Yoga is as auspicious as its name. All important events can be performed in this yoga. This yoga is formed by the combination of Day and Nakshatra. If this yoga is formed between inauspicious tithis then Amrit Siddhi Yoga will cancel and transform into “Vish Yoga”. This Yoga is auspicious on Mondays with Hast Nakshatra, but inauspicious if the tithi is 6th.
