Moon in Lal Kitab


Moon is a benefic planet and it has a cool and benign nature. It is known as a female planet in Vedic astrology. It is the lord of flora, Yajna,  and fasting.

Moon is considered as important as Sun in Lalkitab. It gives benefic or malefic results due to its combinations or yogas with other planets and its position in the birth-chart.

The fourth house is considered the house of Moon in Lal Kitab. Moon is a friend of Sun and Mercury. Moon has an enmity with Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Rahu and it has neutral relationship with Ketu. It is exalted in Gemini and Cancer and is debilitated in Scorpio. Monday is the day of the Moon. It is exalted in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 9th houses and debilitated in the 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th houses.

If Moon is in the 7th house in an exalted sign, it gives good results. If in the Lal Kitab Kundli, the 4th house, the house of Moon, is vacant and even if it is not aspected by an exalted planet and other planets are in a negative state, then also it gives auspicious result to the person.

According to the principles of Lalkitab, when Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu aspects Moon, it is debilitated though when Moon aspects these planets, it give auspicious results. A planet placed in the house of Moon does not give bad results even if it is malefic. According to the astrologers, if Moon is combined with any malefic planet in the birth-chart, they will be debilitated, due to this, Moon does not give benefic results. According to Lal Kitab, the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th houses are known as the houses of closed fingers and the native will get auspicious results related to the planets which are placed in these houses.

Moon influences the left part of the body, left eye, menstruation and blood circulation, state of mind, desires and empathy. If Moon is weak, the person may lack empathy, he might feel upset to see the success of others and he may have too much pride. Difficulties may be faced by the native and his mother and he may not be able to hold on to his ancestral property. Women who have weak Moon in their birth charts may face problems in their menstruation cycle.

Remedies of Moon from Lal Kitab
Lal Kitab gives remedies to maintain the auspiciousness of every planet. If Moon is malefic in the 1st house, the native should serve an old woman and take her blessings, he should water a banyan tree. The native should give green colored cloth to young girls for 40 to 43 days to maintain the auspiciousness of Moon in the 2nd house.

In the 3rd house, the person should donate sugar and wheat. Generally, Moon is not inauspicious in the 4th house but to maintain its auspiciousness, the native should place rice, milk, curd, pearl and white cloth in his house.

According to Lal Kitab, to reduce the malefic effects of Moon in the 5th house, the person should not place green colored cloth or emerald in his house because it creates conflict in the house. He should not drink milk in the night if Moon is malefic in the 6th house but he can have milk made products.

The native should not hurt his mother to make the Moon auspicious in the 7th house. If the native touches the feet and take blessings of elders then it will be beneficial for him if Moon placed in the 8th house. If Moon becomes malefic in the 9th house, the person should donate Mars related goods such as red colored clothes, masoor dal and honey and should water a banana tree . To reduce the malefic effects of Moon in the 11th house, the native should not place things of Mercury such as moong dal, green colored cloth and emerald in his house. Due to the presence of Moon in the 12th house, the person should take blessings of elders. Drinking milk in a silver vessel will be beneficial.
